ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has revealed plans for his health to be assessed by personal physicians of the party founder, following a directive from within. Speaking at Parliament House, he stated that all available information is already in official records and noted he had not yet interacted with the jail administration.
Barrister Gohar clarified that while doctors are tasked with medical examinations, they do not make decisions. “I am not a doctor,” he said. “The personal physicians of our founder will examine Khan sahib and provide an expert report.”
Gohar also elaborated on the decision-making process within PTI. He explained that major decisions are made by Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Mahmood Khan Achakzai, with daily affairs overseen through mutual understanding.
The chairman highlighted the importance of direct observation in ensuring transparency. “Seeing is believing,” he said. “Even our founder’s doctors cannot confirm or deny details until after an examination.”
This approach underscores PTI’s commitment to transparency and accountability, particularly during critical junctures where public trust in leadership plays a significant role.
