Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari made significant announcements on Friday regarding the party’s selections for key positions in the Sindh Assembly.
During a meeting, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari disclosed Owais Shah as the PPP’s nominee for the role of speaker of the Sindh Assembly, while Naveed Anthony was nominated for the position of deputy speaker.
Additionally, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari confirmed that Murad Ali Shah would continue serving as the Chief Minister of the province, as reported first by Headline PK on February 15.
He commended Agha Siraj Durrani for his tenure as the speaker of the provincial assembly, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing public opinion and addressing the needs of the people in the new legislative term.
Bilawal clarified that the PPP had not requested any ministries from the federal government, underlining the party’s focus on the rehabilitation of flood victims in Sindh and Balochistan. He underscored the PPP’s commitment to enhancing the education system through initiatives like the teachers’ training program.
