Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has taken legal action against the notification declaring Bani Gala as a sub-jail in the Toshakhana case verdict, appealing to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to honor the original order for her transfer to Adiala Jail.

The complaint filed by Bushra Bibi urges the court to annul the notification issued by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on January 31, designating Bani Gala as a sub-jail.

Following her arrest by women police from Adiala Jail for her involvement in the Toshakhana reference case, Bushra Bibi seeks to contest her confinement status, questioning the legality of her placement in Bani Gala.

Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had issued a final call-up notice to Bushra Bibi in connection with the Toshakhana case, alleging her receipt and retention of gifts from foreign dignitaries during Imran Khan’s tenure as Prime Minister.

In her response to the accusations, Bushra Bibi vehemently denied any wrongdoing, emphasizing the importance of faith and integrity amidst the legal proceedings and public scrutiny.
