Prominent Businessman Zulfiqar Ahmed Abducted in Karachi

Ahmad was abducted from Maripur Road in Karachi on July 23 while on his way to Clifton with his friend Qaisar. According to his family, eight individuals in a double-cabin vehicle stopped them, forced them into the vehicle, and drove away. The abductors soon released Qaisar, who then informed Zulfiqar’s family about the incident.

Reports indicate that police initially refused to register the case, prompting the family to seek intervention from the Sindh High Court. The court ordered the police to file the case on Friday.

Police have confirmed that a case under Section 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person) of the Pakistan Penal Code has been registered at the Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station.
