Chinese Firm Eyes Increased Investment in Pakistan’s Minerals

MCC Tongsin Resources, a Chinese company, has shown keen interest in boosting its investment in Pakistan’s mineral and mining sector. The Chairman of MCC Tongsin Resources, Wang Jicheng, conveyed this during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the company provided a comprehensive overview of its plans for constructing a mineral park in Pakistan and shared details of its future investment intentions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the Chinese company’s interest, affirming the government’s commitment to prioritizing efforts to attract foreign investment into the country.

Inviting MCC Tongsin Resources to explore investment opportunities across Pakistan’s mineral sector, from mining to the production of exportable goods, the Prime Minister assured full facilitation for mineral extraction, processing, and export to bolster the nation’s exports.

Sharif instructed relevant federal ministers and officials to engage in discussions with the Chinese company, stressing the importance of involving the Chief Minister of Balochistan and relevant provincial departments and stakeholders in the consultation process.

Highlighting the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan, Sharif expressed gratitude to the Chinese leadership and people for their support during challenging times.
