Chinese PM Li Qiang Arrives for SCO Summit in Islamabad

Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang landed in Pakistan on Monday to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally welcomed the Chinese Premier, and the red carpet was rolled out at the airport In honor of the premier.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal were also present to greet the Chinese Premier.

Li Qiang’s visit includes attending the 23rd meeting of the SCO’s Council of Heads of Government, taking place in Islamabad from October 14 to 17. According to a statement from Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning, the Chinese Premier will also pay an official visit to Pakistan during his stay.
