Islamabad Rattled by 5.8 Magnitude Earthquake

On a tense Monday afternoon, the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad, experienced a seismic shockwave measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale, as confirmed by the National Seismic Monitoring Center. The quake’s epicenter was located 103 kilometers away from Doda in Indian Held Kashmir, as reported by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Adding to the anxiety, an aftershock with a magnitude of 5.1 struck at 3:31 PM, reaching a depth of 133 kilometers. Despite the powerful tremors, there are currently no reported details of damage caused by the earthquake. Nevertheless, residents remain on edge, vigilant, and authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety in the aftermath of this seismic event.
