The Karachi Traffic Police has announced key road closures ahead of this Friday’s Youm-ul-Qurds rally, scheduled to commence from Numaish and conclude at Aman Tower after prayers. According to a spokesperson for the Karachi Traffic Police, several crucial roads will be closed in both directions, including Mai Kolachi Road, MT Khan Road, Boat Basin, and Jinnah Bridge, to ensure security.

Commuters approaching these areas are being diverted to alternate routes. Vehicles heading towards Mai Kolachi from Boat Basin will face redirection back onto other streets like Khajoor Chowk. Traffic moving from PIDC toward Jinnah Bridge will be rerouted via Khajoor Chowk and II Chundrigar Road, while those originating from Jinnah Bridge will need to make a turn into the Iqbal Motorway.

Alternate routes for commuters have also been outlined:

– From Teen Hatti to Aman Tower: Travelers can proceed through Guru Mandir, Soldier Bazaar, Bahadur Yar Jung Road, and Holy Family Hospital. Alternatively, one may take Binori Signal to PPP Chowrangi and Corridor-3.
– From Nazimabad to Aman Tower: The route via Lasbela, Nishtar Road, Ranchhor Line, and the Civil Hospital is available. Citizens can also leave from Nazimabad through Bahadur Yar Jung Road or Jubilee and Ankle Syria, leading to Soldier Bazaar.
– From Fresco Chowk/Eidgah Chowk to Numaish: Travelers heading in this direction can take Tibet Chowk, turning right at Regal Chowk and Empress Market. Alternatively, they can turn left through Jubilee, Aga Khan, Ankle Syria, and the Coast Guard to Soldier Bazaar.
– From Dawood Pota Road/Lucky Star to Numaish: The route includes Pardi Chowk, a right turn to Saddar Dawakhana and PPP Chowrangi. Alternatively, one can take left through Regal Chowk or directly from Dawood Pota Road to Lucky Star.
– From Garden (Zoo) to Zebun-Nisa (Mobile Market): Citizens can travel through Aga Khan Suem Road, Coast Guard, Bahadur Yar Jung Road, Soldier Bazaar. Turning right at Uncle Syria Hospital towards Saeed Manzil is also an option.

The Traffic Police has urged commuters to cooperate and follow instructions for a smoother flow of traffic during the rally, offering guidance via their official helpline 1915 or social media platforms like Facebook (www.facebook.com/karachitrafficpolice), WhatsApp (0305-9266907), and FM Radio 88.6.

Karachi Traffic Police spokespersons emphasized that these measures are essential for maintaining traffic efficiency and public safety throughout the rally.
