Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, CEO of Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation, issued a message on World Environment Day, celebrated annually on June 5, emphasizing the importance of protecting our natural environment.
He highlighted the Corporation’s future plans to complete a green energy project under a public-private partnership, aiming to positively impact the environment.
Ahmed stressed the urgent need to promote sustainable land management and water conservation practices in Pakistan.
“On this World Environment Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to environmental protection and tackle environmental challenges together to ensure a healthy, safe, and sustainable future for our coming generations,” he said.
This year’s World Environment Day theme, “Restoration of Earth’s Fertility, Prevention of Desertification and Control of Drought,” underscores the critical need for concerted efforts in environmental restoration and conservation.
