Another significant stride toward employee welfare is underway as the Water Corporation plans to digitize its medical system by July 1, 2024, on the directives of KWSC CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed.

KWSC officials have confirmed that the medical digitization initiative aims to provide enhanced medical facilities to both current and retired employees.

Under this new system, employees will access top-tier medical services across 15 reputable hospitals, laboratories, and pharmacies in the city, including renowned institutions like Aga Khan Hospital, Liaquat National Hospital, and Ziauddin Hospital, facilitated through digital medical cards.

Addressing concerns about Dow Hospital and Laboratory’s temporary closure due to ongoing issues, officials revealed ongoing negotiations with Dow management to restore services fully by next week. Meanwhile, Patel Hospital and Essa Laboratory are set to commence services today under KWSC’s panel, with Safi Hospital following suit in two days. Additionally, five branches of Al-Khidmat Hospital will extend services to outstation employees within the next two days.

KWSC CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed reaffirmed the corporation’s commitment to addressing all issues faced by both serving and retired employees. He emphasized that ensuring better medical facilities remains a top priority, with ongoing administrative efforts aimed at further improving employee welfare.
