
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz presided over a high-level meeting on Thursday to assess the status of higher education scholarships and the iPad scheme.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the incomplete briefing, the chief minister urged for a comprehensive plan for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Scholarships scheme.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of developing higher education and other institutions in alignment with modern standards. She instructed for a student survey to be conducted regarding the iPad and laptop schemes, highlighting the government’s commitment to meeting the needs of students.
Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz indicated that further action would be taken regarding the laptop and iPad schemes based on the feedback and requirements of students.
The meeting was attended by former Senator Pervez Rasheed, member of the Provincial Assembly Maryam Aurangzeb, Nosheen Adnan, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the Chief Secretary, Chairman of the Planning and Development department, Secretary of Finance, Secretary of Higher Education, Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), and other officials.
