A new wave of revelations about Prince Andrew’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein has emerged, prompting intense scrutiny across multiple government departments and intelligence agencies. The latest bombshell comes from royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who recently spoke on TalkTV’s Jeremy Kyle show.
Lownie emphasized his stance, stating that both King Charles III and Princess Anne have issued their statements about the Epstein affair today. He expressed a sense of relief while acknowledging it might divert attention away from addressing deeper issues: “I’m glad people are calling for this; there’s been plenty in the papers this morning,” he shared. “However, what we need to focus on now is understanding exactly how Prince Andrew was protected and why those within the royal family didn’t address the issue sooner.”
Lownie delved into his theory that these high-ranking officials—specifically from the Foreign Office and MI6 among others—were providing the royal household with confidential briefings. He revealed, “I think we need to get a clearer picture of what happened at Royal Lodge and beyond. The current line is they didn’t know anything but I have personal insights indicating that many individuals within those departments were briefed multiple times.”
When asked about whether King Charles was informed individually or as entities like the monarchy, Lownie clarified, “I just know from my research that protection officers are required to report back to the head of royal security. This goes up to the sovereign. So they had plenty of information and knew about it but chose not to address the matter.”
Lownie emphasized the public’s need for a more transparent narrative: “Now people are outraged, which he highlighted at the end of his conversation with Jeremy Kyle. He noted that merely expressing sympathy isn’t sufficient; instead, there needs to be a commitment to transparency and accountability.”
As fallout from these revelations intensifies, the royal family is under increasing pressure to provide detailed explanations regarding their handling of Prince Andrew’s connections to Epstein, including his interactions with foreign entities and intelligence agencies. The public outcry demands answers about protection mechanisms and why the issue was not addressed earlier.
