
At the 29th convocation held at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) in Jamshoro on Saturday, academic degrees were awarded to 1,007 graduates. Among them, 34 scholars received Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees, 75 students achieved Masters of Engineering qualifications, and 898 recipients earned Bachelor’s degrees.
Nawal Shaikh, daughter of Riaz Hussain Shaikh from the Mathematics Department, was honored with two gold medals and one silver medal for being named the top graduate. Similarly, Soonam, a student of Mukesh Kumar Lohano in the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Management, received a gold medal and a silver medal.
Tayaba, daughter of Imran Shaikh, from the Electronics and Garments Manufacturing department, and Uqba, a pupil of Khalid Memon in the same department, were also awarded gold and silver medals as the top performers.
Additionally, Sultan Salahuddin, son of Asimuddin Khan Yousufzai from the Chemical Engineering department, emerged victorious by securing gold and silver medals; he represented his department as the sole male graduate with such distinctions.
