Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Nadir Shafi Dar as the new Director General (DG) of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The official notification confirming his three-year appointment has been issued.
Nadir Shafi Dar, who previously served as Acting DG, was selected after a rigorous interview process. Last month, interviews were conducted for 11 shortlisted candidates, including Dar himself.
With his appointment, Dar faces the significant challenge of resuming flights of Pakistani airlines to the United Kingdom and Europe, a key issue for the country’s aviation sector.
