Professor Naseem Memon, who faced allegations of harassment resulting in his removal from a previous post, has been appointed as the chairman of Karachi’s Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (KBISE).
Previously, Memon was removed from his position as chairman of Larkana’s board due to his involvement in a harassment scandal, as ordered by Sindh’s ombudsman. However, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori intervened by writing a letter to the Sindh government seeking leniency for Memon.
Following clearance of the allegations, Memon petitioned the Sindh High Court for reinstatement. Now, he has been appointed as the chairman of the KBISE.
The allegations against Memon surfaced in November last year, leading to his removal from the post in Larkana. An inquiry found him guilty of harassing female teachers in Larkana and Hyderabad, including sending objectionable texts to women.
