Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha emphasized his team’s readiness for tomorrow’s high-stakes T20 encounter with India in Colombo. Ahead of the clash in Sri Lanka, he confirmed they are fully prepared, noting their strategies can adapt if overs are reduced due to rain.

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo, Agha described the upcoming match as “high-level contest” and said the team has already put in place preparations for various conditions, including those that might arise with the weather. He highlighted the importance of spinners by stating the combination will be arranged accordingly based on the pitch conditions.

The captain stressed sportsmanship, asserting both teams should present a positive approach during the game. “What strategy India adopts is up to them; Pakistan will ensure its preparation is complete,” he added.

Agha underlined that past results carry little weight, stressing each match is a fresh start. He said no one can control the weather but emphasized the team has plans in place for any reduction of overs due to rain. They are well-acquainted with Colombo’s conditions and have gathered good knowledge about the pitch.

Regarding Babar Azam, Agha expressed confidence that the star batter will play a key role for Pakistan. On media reports surrounding Usman Tariq, he stated that while various stories are circulating, the team remains focused solely on the game, calling Tariq “Pakistan’s trump card.”

Salman clarified that the team is not paying attention to Indian media claims and is fully focused on their upcoming match.

When asked about Abhishek Sharma’s condition, Agha wished him a speedy recovery, expressing hope that the player will be available for the competition. “Pakistan wants to compete against the best,” he added.
