
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif initiated cordial interactions with a range of world leaders at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace held here on Thursday. The prime minister, currently on an official visit to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump, engaged in informal conversations with participants including King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, and Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan and Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia.
During these discussions, the leaders touched upon critical global and regional concerns. Highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace and stability, particularly its contributions to establishing peace in Gaza, reconstruction initiatives, and broader international peace projects, Sharif underscored the country’s growing success in foreign policy.
