PPP Slams Sindh Governor as ‘Most Failed,’ Calls for Replacement

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has branded Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori as the “most failed governor,” igniting calls for his replacement.

Waqar Mehdi, a prominent PPP leader, minced no words as he denounced Tessori’s tenure, urging the ruling coalition partner Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to swiftly appoint a new governor for Sindh.

Mehdi’s pointed remarks highlighted Tessori’s alleged inability to effectively represent the federation and foster consensus, instead exacerbating political divisions within the region.

“Governor Kamran Tessori has failed to serve as a unifying force, further fragmenting political discourse,” Mehdi asserted.

Suggesting that Tessori take a hiatus for the benefit of the province, Mehdi advised the PML-N to nominate a replacement for the gubernatorial role.

In response, Governor Kamran Tessori brushed off the criticism, dismissing PPP’s authority to judge his performance and labeling the accusations as baseless. He called upon the PPP to clarify its stance.

It’s noteworthy that Tessori had previously expressed his determination to continue serving as governor on behalf of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Pakistan leadership.
