PTI’s Raoof Hassan Attacked in Islamabad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raoof Hassan sustained injuries in an attack in Islamabad on Tuesday. The incident occurred as Hassan arrived at the office of a private TV channel, where he was assaulted by unknown assailants.

The news quickly reached the Senate, prompting the opposition to stage a walk-out in protest. PTI leader Shibli Faraz condemned the attack, highlighting Hassan’s role as a spokesman for the country’s largest political party.

According to reports from Headline PK, the attack was carried out by a group of 5-6 individuals, including transgender people. The assailants targeted Hassan’s face, causing significant bleeding.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are in the process of acquiring CCTV footage to identify the attackers.

Hassan’s condition is reported to be stable, and he is receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
