The Tehreek Tahafuz Ayen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) has announced nationwide protests on Friday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser announced the protest, citing the worsening law and order situation in the country.
The protests aim to demand the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. Qaiser called for people from all walks of life to join the protest, emphasizing the urgency of addressing the country’s socio-economic problems, including the impact of inflation on the public.
He invited all political parties, including the JDA, to join the protest, stressing that public participation would ensure its success. Qaiser claimed that the government is cracking down on all political parties and alleged that MNAs are being bribed to switch loyalties.
It’s important to note that Jamaat-e-Islami has also called for a sit-in and protest in Islamabad on the same day, July 26, against inflation and high electricity bills.
The Tehreek Tahafuz Ayen, also known as the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayen-e-Pakistan or the Grand Opposition Alliance, is a multi-party political alliance led by PTI.
