Another alarming incident has unfolded within Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), as yet another air hostess assigned to a Toronto-bound flight from Karachi has slipped away, marking the third such occurrence this year.
The latest incident involves Flight Steward Jibran Baloch, who became the second air hostess to vanish this month, adding to the growing concerns surrounding the airline’s personnel.
On February 29, Flight 782 failed to arrive for its scheduled return duty, raising suspicions within the airline. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Baloch had slipped away, following in the footsteps of a female air hostess who disappeared just days prior.
Earlier this year, another troubling incident occurred when Maryam Raza, assigned to flight PK 782 from Pakistan to Toronto, failed to report for duty on the return flight, PK 784 from Toronto to Karachi. A note expressing gratitude to PIA was discovered alongside her uniform, further deepening the mystery surrounding her disappearance.
This marks the third reported case in 2024 of PIA flight attendants allegedly ‘slipping’ while on duty, with two of them being women.
