Wasim Akram Declares PSL as ‘Mini-IPL’

Legendary Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram has offered his perspective on the perennial debate surrounding the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL), unequivocally stating that the IPL holds the title of the bigger T20 extravaganza.

In a recent media interaction, Akram, who has been associated with both leagues, emphasized the colossal stature of the IPL, likening the PSL to a “mini-IPL” within the Pakistani cricket landscape.

When posed with the choice between IPL and PSL, Akram promptly favored the IPL, stating, “IPL. I have worked in both. You can’t compare the two; IPL is huge. PSL is huge in Pakistan, no doubt; it’s like the mini-IPL of Pakistan.”

The cricket icon, who has a deep understanding of the cricketing dynamics in both countries, refrained from picking between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Karachi Kings, diplomatically expressing support for both teams.
