
On Sunday, two terrorists affiliated with the banned Fitna al Khawarij group were killed during Eidul Fitr celebrations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram district. The attackers attempted to halt construction work at an under-construction police station, leading to a clash with security personnel.
The terrorists also abducted several workers and policemen but were released after negotiations with tribal elders. Additional police reinforcements arrived on the scene, stabilizing the situation. Concurrently, one person was killed and three injured in Para Chamkani area when a mortar shell fell, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
