Broadway Pizza has opened its 82nd branch on the main road near Hadiabad Society, adjacent to Gulshan-e-Maymar, as the company continues to expand despite challenging business conditions in Pakistan. The new outlet can accommodate 60 to 70 customers, with a focus on families, students and young people. Online ordering and home delivery remain central to the company’s business model.
Speaking at the inauguration, Founder and Chairman Javed Masood said the company’s expansion was driven by market demand and consumer needs. “Business conditions are difficult, but with honesty, quality, hard work and vision, we are expanding the business,” he said. Masood said Broadway Pizza had created employment for around 2,500 to 3,000 people, describing the contribution as a source of pride. He said businesses faced mounting pressures as the state remained financially constrained and the formal business sector was expected to contribute heavily to the economy and national budget. He said most Broadway Pizza outlets in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi were company-operated to maintain quality and operational control, while franchises were used selectively in smaller cities.
Masood said the company had reached its present position after 14 to 15 years of sustained effort, building on his longer experience in the food industry. The company has expanded across Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities. He also recalled declining a UK business offer when Broadway Pizza had 13 or 14 branches, choosing to remain in Pakistan and build the business locally. Food at the chain is available at prices starting from around Rs300 to Rs400, he said.
