
A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, causing tremors felt in multiple areas including Gilgit, Skardu, Pattan, Balakot, and surrounding regions.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded the quake at a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale with a depth of 12 kilometers beneath the surface. The epicenter was located approximately 84 kilometers northeast of Gilgit-Baltistan in northwestern Kashmir.
Despite the significant tremors, no loss of life or property has been reported as a result of this earthquake.
