Mahmood Khan Achakzai is unlikely to attend the upcoming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Mardan. Sources say Achakzai is displeased over not being taken into confidence regarding the event. The date for the Mardan rally was reportedly decided by Sohail Afridi. Despite this, it is understood that the PTI founder had delegated authority for organizing rallies and protests to Achakzai. Senior PTI leader Atif Khan also contacted him to discuss participation, but Achakzai has not shown willingness to attend so far. Provincial Minister Meena Khan stated that all matters would be handled in consultation with Achakzai, adding that directives for the Mardan rally were issued by the PTI founder.
