Actor Peter Greene tragically passed away on December 12 after accidentally shooting himself in the left armpit. The 60-year-old actor’s career spanned decades in Hollywood, where he was notably known for villainous roles in films such as Pulp Fiction, The Mask, and Training Day. These roles often featured him alongside luminaries like Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction and Jim Carrey in The Mask.

The incident occurred during a routine wellness check by police when neighbors alerted the landlord about Greene’s deteriorating condition. Upon arrival at the property, authorities discovered Greene lying on his bed, shot through the left armpit, with serious arterial damage resulting in severe bleeding. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death as accidental.

Greene’s contributions to cinema were significant and enduring. His career included starring roles in Pulp Fiction alongside Bruce Willis and villainous turns in The Mask opposite Jim Carrey. Greene’s talents impressed film critic Richard Roeper, who highlighted Greene’s ability to leave a lasting impression despite brief screen time. Roeper described Greene as an “electric” talent on X.

Despite his well-documented struggles with addiction, the news source reported that Greene had been sober for several years prior to his death. The actor left behind his brother and sister, along with his son, Ryder, in his wake.

Greene’s sudden passing has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with tributes pouring in from fellow artists and industry professionals who marveled at Greene’s unique screen presence. His legacy will be remembered for years to come, leaving an indelible mark on cinema history.
