Ortega noted that she will “forever cherish” the moments they spent filming their 2024 movie together. She wrote, “Catherine is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever had the honor of getting to work with and know.” Ortega continued, “I’ll forever cherish the time we shared together, and everything she taught me.”
A giant, an inspiration in many ways. One of the greats,” Jenna added, also sharing throwback snaps from her late co-star’s career.
Catherine, who famously played Macaulay Culkin’s mother in the first two “Home Alone” movies, passed away at her residence in Los Angeles due to a brief illness.
Macaulay paid tribute to his onscreen mother after her death. He wrote, “Mama/ I thought we had time/I wanted more/I wanted to sit in a chair next to you/I heard you But I had so much more to say/I love you.” Macaulay concluded with, “I’ll see you later.”
Their final moments captured the profound connection between these two actors who shared both fame and friendship.
