
ISLAMABAD – Bahria University Islamabad recently concluded its 28th convocation ceremony, a grand affair attended by over 3,300 graduates who were honored across multiple disciplines. Adm Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of the Naval Staff and Pro Chancellor of the university, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The event featured an impressive array of awards including 108 gold medals and 105 silver ones for outstanding academic achievement. The ceremony’s structure followed traditional convocation protocols, with a spotlight on top achievers and program-specific recognitions.
Adm Ashraf’s address to the graduates highlighted the significance of higher education in national development. He commended both the students and their families for successfully completing their educational journeys. He also underscored Bahria University’s progressive contributions to professional education, emphasizing its diverse range of programs and roles in developing skilled professionals across sectors like technical science.
University officials stressed that the graduating cohort represented a broad spectrum of disciplines, aligning with the institution’s comprehensive academic offerings. Medals were awarded discipline-by-discipline based on cumulative performance and academic distinction. The ceremony’s venue included organized degree distributions, medal presentations, formal acknowledgments from faculty and administrative departments overseeing examinations, and heartfelt moments as graduates received their degrees and honors.
