Multiple accounts have shared a video across social media platforms since May 18, showing a giant bull at the Karachi cattle market. However, the clip is AI-generated.
Cattle markets are being set up in anticipation for Eidul Azha on May 27, 2026.
On May 18, a user shared a video of a man standing with a giant black bull on Instagram. The caption read: “500kg bull in Karachi. Can anyone guess how much is the demand?” The post gained 2.8 million views.
A local Pakistani digital media outlet, Nation Point, also shared the same clip with the caption: “Giant bull stuns visitors at Karachi cattle market, price reportedly set at Rs20 million.” This post garnered 238,900 views.
Another user on X shared the viral video with a similar caption and gained 74,000 views.
Other social media users also shared the video on X, Instagram, and YouTube; these posts collectively accumulated about 15,000 views.
A fact-check was initiated to determine the claim’s veracity due to its high virality. No credible Pakistani media outlets reported a “giant bull” at Karachi’s cattle market.
The viral video was analyzed for visual discrepancies showing the bull appears drastically larger than any known real-world cattle breed and towers over surrounding people and animals to an implausible extent. The man holding the rope also appears disproportionately small in comparison to the bull.
Additionally, a blurry effect can be observed around the animal in the video, common with AI-generated or digitally manipulated visuals. The individual standing behind the alleged giant bull on the left side of the frame at 0:07 mark, dressed in white clothing, appears anatomically distorted.
AI detection tools also flagged the video as 99.7 percent AI-generated and rated it 100pc by Decopy AI and 86pc by Undetectable AI.
Fact-check status: False
The viral video is fabricated and digitally manipulated using AI.
