Senior lawyer and veteran politician Aitzaz Ahsan has made predictions, stating that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is likely to leave the country before the elections and observe the results from abroad. In an interview on DawnNewsTV’s “Doosra Rukh,” Ahsan remarked that since Nawaz Sharif already resides abroad, he may choose to watch the election outcomes from there.
Ahsan also claimed that JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman appears to be “retreating” from the elections, suggesting that, between the options of victory or retreat, Rehman seems to be leaning towards the latter.
Earlier, Aitzaz Ahsan had referred to Nawaz Sharif as a “ladla” (favored) and alleged that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the caretaker government were working to ensure Nawaz Sharif secures a two-thirds majority in the upcoming general elections. Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan on October 21 after spending four years in self-imposed exile.
