AJK Budget Session Today: Rs286B, 7% Salary Rise, Education & Health Boosts

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly session convened today to present a budget worth over Rs286 billion. Finance Minister Qasim Majeed is set to unveil the financial plan at 11am.

Sources indicate that salaries and pensions will see a 7% increase in the proposed budget. The development budget has been allocated Rs36 billion, while the non-development budget stands at more than Rs250 billion.

Education sector receives Rs57 billion and health sector gets Rs25 billion under the proposed allocations.
