Alexandra Grant has addressed the secret wedding rumors swirling around her relationship with Keanu Reeves. In September, she posted on social media that these speculations were wild and decided to halt them.

Grant shared with People that she couldn’t bear the constant chatter anymore. She said, “I was like, Ok, we’re going to do this thing, and that’s going to stop it.” For the most part, her plan worked.

The rumors had fans and friends reaching out to wish them well. Grant noted their main goal was to have people stop congratulating them on marriage.

She explained, “It was like, thank you so much, and we really love each other, but we’re not married. So I just wanted the truth out there.”

Grant likened her efforts to using Palmolive; a small amount can remove a lot of grease. Her hope worked, effectively putting an end to the speculation.

Keanu and Grant first made their relationship public in 2019 at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.
