These conditions will occur intermittently from August 9 to 11.

In northern regions, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, and Sargodha, rain, wind, and thundershowers with scattered heavy falls are expected from August 9 to 12.

The Met Office has also predicted rain and thundershowers for parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The PMD had previously anticipated a wetter-than-usual monsoon season this year, highlighting Pakistan’s vulnerability to extreme weather due to climate change.

Over the past three days, heavy rainfall has resulted in 24 fatalities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
