At least 24 people killed and several injured when passenger coach plunges into ravine
A tragic accident occurred on Friday as a passenger coach carrying passengers from Quetta to Peshawar plunged into a ravine in the Dana Sar area between Zhob and Dera Ismail Khan. The crash, which took place in the mountainous region, has resulted in at least 24 fatalities and several injuries.
Deputy Commissioner Sherani Wali Kakar stated that rescue teams are working tirelessly to evacuate the injured despite challenging terrain conditions. He added that medical assistance is being provided immediately before patients are transported to nearby hospitals.
Health authorities have declared an emergency at local hospitals in Balochistan to accommodate those affected by the crash. The final casualty count will be confirmed once rescue operations are completed.
