Avan Jogia Shares Wedding Planning Update with Halsey

Avan Jogia recently spoke candidly about his future plans for marriage, discussing his partnership with fiancée Halsey. The Los Angeles premiere of Avan’s new series, “56 Days,” provided an ideal setting to reveal their wedding vision.

“I think that we’re not in any rush to do anything specific at any particular timeline other than our own,” Avan explained. “We’re really lucky. We get to enjoy each stage of our lives.” He then added with enthusiasm, “And I don’t know. It’s everything. So we’re so busy. But yeah, absolutely. It’s going to be great.”

Avan noted that he is more involved in the details rather than being a hands-off groom, something his fiancée described as unusual for him. “I’m a detail-oriented person by nature,” Avan acknowledged. “But yes, I think we like making things together, so we’re collaborative.”

Halsey elaborated on their engagement and proposal story during an appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in September 2024. The singer recalled that they were spending a special anniversary trip to Barcelona when Avan made his romantic move. “We were sitting next to each other, and he was like, ‘Come down on the floor,’ ” she recounted. Halsey continued: “So I got down on the floor of this boat, and he pulled out the ring.”

“The proposal came during our one-year anniversary trip,” Avan confirmed. “He said, ‘What’s a little bit of marriage between friends?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do a little bit of marriage with you. I’d prefer to do a lot of it.’ ”

Halsey’s attendance at the premiere also brought a unique twist; she joined Avan, gushing over their shared experience. “It’s nice and fun,” Avan said excitedly. “It’s fun to dress up and do something, get together, put on an outfit and hang out with your partner, and go to— I mean, it’s really cool because it’s a show that I’m premiering.”

Both parties seemed captivated by the camaraderie of such events, noting how these moments enhanced their relationship.
