Balochistan Government Mandates Tenant Registration
The Balochistan provincial government has made tenant registration mandatory under new security measures. Landlords are now prohibited from renting out properties without verifying tenants’ national identity cards and must submit records to local police stations.
Authorities have also required landlords to report guests staying over 24 hours, with hostels and hotels instructed to maintain complete occupant records. Violations will face strict legal action, including arrests and property seizures.
Officials emphasized that unregistered individuals could pose a security risk, highlighting the move’s aim to improve law and order across the province. The government urges citizens to ensure proper tenant registration as part of broader security efforts.
