The Seattle Seahawks took center stage last weekend with their monumental triumph in the Super Bowl XL championship game against the New England Patriots, securing them the coveted Lombardi Trophy. Their remarkable success was not just a victory but an embodiment of excellence across both offense and defense.

In what had been an incredible 2025 NFL season, Seattle clinched the title with an impressive 14 wins and only three losses, solidifying their status as champions in the NFC West division. The team’s prowess on the field was evident; they ranked third best in offensive performance and first in defense, allowing opponents just a handful of points.

As they basked in the glory of their achievement, former US President Barack Obama shared his heartfelt congratulations through social media, praising both the defensive brilliance of the Seahawks and standout player Kenneth Walker. “Congratulations to the Super Bowl champion @Seahawks! This defense was special,” he said. “MVP Kenneth Walker was dominant, delivering one of the best comeback stories in a long time.”

Sam Darnold’s remarkable journey from injury to returning as an MVP also added to the Seahawks’ storybook year. The team now looks forward to welcoming their fans downtown during a grand victory parade set for Wednesday, February 11.

The celebration will begin near Lumen Field and conclude at Fourth Avenue and Cedar Street, with anticipation building across Seattle’s streets as the city gears up for this historic event. Fans are eagerly anticipating not only the opportunity to celebrate alongside fellow Seahawks supporters but also to bask in the limelight of their team’s triumphant return home.
