Kanya West and his wife Bianca Censori have faced a tumultuous period in their marriage amid the rapper’s struggles with mental health. Following West’s apology for past antisemitic remarks in The Wall Street Journal and an interview with Vanity Fair, a recent report revealed that Censori had attempted to end their marriage several times due to her unhappiness.
According to an insider at People magazine, “Bianca had been very unhappy in the marriage for some time. She tried to leave multiple times when West was not in a stable mental state.” The source elaborated, “He has been trapped in this vicious cycle for years. When his mental health is unstable, he creates much drama which then causes lasting consequences.”
“When he finds himself in a more stable mental place, he becomes acutely aware of the damage he’s caused to his family, friends, and even himself,” explained the insider. “This awareness brings intense guilt and regret, making it challenging for him to maintain emotional health.”
In an interview with Vanity Fair published on January 28, West opened up about his bipolar disorder, admitting that he went through a “deep depressive episode” in 2025 and sought treatment at a rehab center in Switzerland. He also spoke candidly about his past antisemitic remarks.
Now, veteran music industry manager John Monopoly has confirmed to People magazine that “West is in a great place and taking accountability for the things he says and does.”
