World Water Day marks urgent call for action from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, emphasized the need for immediate collective efforts to conserve water resources on World Water Day.
Water, described by him as “lifeblood of the planet,” sustains ecosystems and human civilization alike. He stressed that protecting this vital resource is an environmental necessity and moral responsibility for future generations.
Bilawal urged all societal segments to adopt sustainable practices and ensure equitable access to clean water for every citizen.
Addressing regional concerns, he criticized India’s unilateral approach to the Indus Waters Treaty, warning against violations of international law and threats to regional stability. He termed such actions as irresponsible and unacceptable.
He called on the international community to respect international agreements and expressed hope that World Water Day would strengthen global commitment to cooperation, dialogue, and a sustainable peaceful future.
