Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi were cleared in a 2022 drugs case. The Mumbai Police confirmed no evidence was found against them.

According to police officials, the investigation concluded with no proven link between Kapoor, Fatehi, and other named individuals and the alleged drug network. Authorities stated there was no evidence suggesting any celebrity involvement in the case.

The case began in August 2022 when the Mumbai Police arrested Salim Suhail Shaikh, an alleged drug trafficker, through their Crime Branch and Anti-Narcotics Cell. Mephedrone worth Rs1.19 lakh was recovered during the operation.

Shaikh told investigators he had delivered drugs to parties with multiple public figures in attendance. In 2025, the Anti-Narcotics Cell questioned several celebrities, including Kapoor and Fatehi, as part of their investigation. No concrete evidence connected any of them to drug trafficking or consumption.

Police filed an initial chargesheet against three accused persons, while a supplementary chargesheet will be submitted for two additional arrested individuals and one absconding suspect.
