
The caretaker government has approved a hike in petrol prices by Rs2.73 per litre and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs8.37 per litre, following a recommendation by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
A notification by the finance ministry stated that petrol will now be priced at Rs275.62 per litre from February 16, while HSD will cost Rs287.33 per litre.
This increase comes after a previous hike where petrol saw a rise of Rs13.55 per litre and HSD by Rs2.15 per litre, as per a notification by the finance ministry earlier. Following that increase, petrol was priced at Rs272.89 per litre from February 01.
