Josh Radnor, best known for his role as Ted Mosby in “How I Met Your Mother,” recently welcomed his first child with wife Jordana Jacobs. The actor shared this news on Instagram on February 4th, confirming that they are now parents to a baby boy.

Radnor wrote alongside photos of the couple with their newborn: “So my wife and I had a baby a few months ago. Here’s what we know so far: His smile lights up the room. He’s super observant and thoughtful. He gets hypnotized when I play him songs on the guitar.”

He noted that his son finds the phrase “baba ghanoush” hilarious, calling him “a total delight” and stating they are “thrilled he’s here.” The 51-year-old actor reflected on early parenthood, describing it as both overwhelming and deeply rewarding.

“Sending love to all my fellow parents of newborns out there,” Radnor wrote. “What a wild, beautiful, exhausting, heart-opening initiation. So grateful.”

Prior to this announcement, Radnor had largely kept his personal life off social media. In an earlier interview, he mentioned that married life exceeded his expectations, describing it as “fantastic” and “I love it,” with favorite moments often being the quieter ones.

Now, having reached a new milestone in his career—a significant role of fatherhood—Radnor has revealed a transformational chapter in his personal life.
