Karachi: As China’s No.1 vehicle exporter for over 23 consecutive years, with presence across more than 130 countries and regions and a global user base exceeding 19 million users worldwide, Chery has rapidly emerged among the world’s most recognized automotive brands through its growing focus on quality, technology, safety and reliability. Against this backdrop, Chery is now strengthening its position as a new benchmark of quality in Pakistan’s evolving SUV market.

As Pakistani consumers increasingly shift toward quality, reliability, advanced technology and long-term value in their automotive choices, Chery Master Pakistan, introduced locally by Master Auto Engineering, part of the Master Group with over 60 years of industrial and automotive legacy, is bringing globally recognized engineering, safety and reliability standards to Pakistan through one of the industry’s fastest-growing premium SUV portfolios.

Globally, Chery has established itself among the strongest performers in automotive quality and customer satisfaction. In the J.D. Power China Initial Quality Study (IQS), Chery ranked as the No.1 Chinese domestic automotive brand for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025, one of the industry’s most recognized indicators of real-world reliability and product quality.

Building further on this momentum, Chery strengthened its leadership position at the J.D. Power 2026 Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony by securing 14 major honours, including five first-place brand-level rankings, seven model-level championships, and two exemplary awards. The recognition spans all five core J.D. Power studies, namely Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI), Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL), Initial Quality Study (IQS), Customer Service Index (CSI), and Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS), making Chery the industry’s only “Five-time Champion” across the complete ownership value chain from product quality to aftersales experience.

At the product level, Chery’s core SUV lineup, including the Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and Tiggo 9, secured top positions across segments, reinforcing the brand’s ability to consistently deliver quality across both new energy and conventional powertrains.

Further strengthening its quality credentials, Chery has achieved five-star safety certifications for dozens of models across major global markets, including China, Europe, Australia, and ASEAN, the highest among Chinese automotive brands, reinforcing safety and reliability as core pillars of the company’s development strategy.

In Pakistan, this global momentum is now translating into strong market response and accelerated expansion. Chery Master Pakistan has established the country’s largest locally assembled CKD plug-in hybrid SUV portfolio, including the Tiggo 9 PHEV as Pakistan’s first premium plug-in hybrid E-SUV, the Tiggo 8 PHEV as the country’s only 7-seater plug-in hybrid D-SUV, and the Tiggo 7 PHEV as a premium 5-seater C-segment SUV. Together, the lineup spans key SUV segments and reflects a broader strategy to make advanced hybrid technology accessible across varying customer needs and lifestyles.

The brand’s growth comes at a time when Pakistani consumers are increasingly prioritizing fuel efficiency, long-term ownership value, and advanced mobility technologies amid rising fuel costs and evolving market dynamics. Plug-in hybrid solutions are emerging as a practical transition pathway by combining electric efficiency with the flexibility and convenience required for local driving conditions.

Backed by Master Group’s proven manufacturing strength and deep-rooted automotive ecosystem in Pakistan, the partnership continues to build on a strong foundation of manufacturing capability, localization, and large-scale operational execution. Through Master Yutong, the Group has achieved approximately 80% market share in Pakistan’s bus segment, while Procon Engineering components are integrated into around 15% of locally assembled vehicles. Its joint venture with Changan has also rapidly emerged among Pakistan’s leading automotive players, becoming the country’s 4th largest automobile brand within a short span.

As Chery advances its global Quality Leadership Strategy, its growing presence in Pakistan reflects a broader shift in market expectations, where quality, technology, safety, and reliability are increasingly redefining the country’s automotive landscape.
