Thousands of people took to social media platforms mourning Chuck Norris’ death. The former martial arts champion, who starred in 1980s action films like “Code of Silence,” “Missing in Action,” and “The Delta Force,” passed away on Thursday.

His family announced via an Instagram statement on Friday. A staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump, Norris endorsed him during the 2016 presidential election. His death came a day after his hospitalization.

Trump supporters paid tribute to Norris as news of his demise spread. Similarly, supporters of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also honored Norris for his support towards Israel.

Norris had previously endorsed Netanyahu in 2013 and again in 2015, praising the Israeli leader’s courage against threats to both Israel and the US. The endorsement came at a time when Trump and Netanyahu were facing criticism over their decision to launch war against Iran.
