Sarfraz Bugti Inaugurates First Women’s Market in Gwadar
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated the first-ever women’s market, Gwadar Women Bazaar, in the coastal city of Gwadar. The market currently consists of 14 shops aimed at creating employment opportunities for local women and promoting small-scale entrepreneurship.
During his visit, Bugti met with women shopkeepers, listened to their concerns, and gathered feedback on challenges they face. He emphasized that women’s empowerment is a top priority of the provincial government.
Bugti noted that initiatives like the Gwadar Women Bazaar would contribute to economic growth by providing women with a platform to showcase their skills and run businesses independently. The government is committed to creating a supportive environment for women entrepreneurs and plans to expand similar projects across the province, he added. Sustainable development is not possible without the active economic participation of women, Bugti further stated. Such initiatives in Gwadar would help promote social and economic stability, ensuring better opportunities and a brighter future for women in the region.
