Crescent Moon Sighted, Zilqad Month Begins in Country

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, announced the sighting of Zilqad moon on Sunday. This marks the start of Ramadan according to Suparco’s data, which states that the new moon was born on April 17 at 4:52pm with high visibility for observation on April 18.

In a media statement, Azad noted varying weather conditions across the country but confirmed clear sightings from multiple locations. He prayed for Pakistan’s security and paid tribute to Asim Munir and Shehbaz Sharif for their contributions towards regional peace. The Chairman also commended the nation’s leadership for its efforts in bolstering the country’s standing.
