
Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Peshawar results in killing two terrorists
At least two terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by CTD on Tuesday. The operation took place in Regi Bypass area of Peshawar, where the terrorists opened fire.
CTD personnel returned the fire, leading to the death of two terrorists identified as Abbas and Usman. These individuals were involved in the martyrdom of a CTD constable named Sanaullah, whose mobile phone was recovered from the terrorists’ possession.
The spokesperson for CTD revealed that both Abbas and Usman were wanted in numerous terrorism cases. In attacks carried out by these militants, five police personnel lost their lives, while more than a dozen others sustained injuries.
Following the incident, accomplices of the killed terrorists managed to escape under cover of darkness. A heavy police contingent has since launched an operation to apprehend them.
