Daniel Radcliffe, known for his portrayal of Harry Potter, has been stepping out of his usual public persona to engage more directly with audiences in the Broadway production of “Every Brilliant Thing”.
The 36-year-old actor recently shared insights into this unique experience. He explained that audience participation during the play allows him to relax and interact as he normally cannot in most public settings.
Radcliffe, who usually keeps a low profile by wearing hats and masks in crowded places, said it’s liberating to move around the audience and recruit people for the show.
His performance has been highly acclaimed, earning him a 2026 Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Play. His run in “Every Brilliant Thing” ends on May 24, after which Mariska Hargitay will take over the role followed by Tracee Ellis Ross later in July.
