Dar Discusses Turkmenistan’s International Ties with New York Officials

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar met with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov during the UN Security Council High-Level Open Debate in New York.

The two leaders reviewed the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.

Senator Dar emphasized enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, energy, transport, and regional connectivity, including Pakistan’s readiness to export high-quality meat and agricultural products to Turkmenistan.

Regional transit and connectivity through rail, road, air, and sea linkages were also discussed, with a focus on facilitating trade, commercial activity, and people-to-people exchanges.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation at multilateral fora, including the United Nations.
